CTO Mike Carey to lead Silicon Valley Space Center TechTalk Series



Assured Space Access Technologies, Inc. CTO, Mike Carey, will introduce ATLAS - An Affordable Global Satellite Ground Network on Feb 4, 2014 in Mountain View, CA. The burgeoning microsat/nanosat market, which includes CubeSats, is an under-served audience when it comes to ground station support. Compared to their larger cousins, these satellites are often characterized by rapid development cycles, wide use of off-the-shelf parts, and corresponding lower budgets. The ATLAS communication network is designed as a low-cost solution for this market.


Launch Activity Hits 20-year High in 2014



The Dec. 31 launch of the Chinese Fengyun-2G weather satellite on a Long March 3A rocket was the 92nd and final scheduled orbital launch of 2014. That is the highest number of launches in a single calendar year since 1994, when 93 launches took place.
